Joel Pulver Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hubbell Funeral Home & Crematory on Feb. 12, 2026.
Joel Ross Pulver of Belleair, FL, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, after a long illness. He was one of two sons born to the late Percy Jay Pulver and Beatrice Pell Pulver. Joel was predeceased by his parents, Percy and Beatrice; his brother, Scott Pulver; and his sister-in-law, Tess Pulver.

Joel loved music in every way and at every level. Professionally, he owned both a music shop and an antiques shop. A gifted musician, he was self-employed his entire life. When there were drums nearby, look out! His favorite instrument was the drums, and Joel was also a talented singer.

Joel enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving three and a half years. He attained the rank of Seaman (E-3) and received his honorable discharge in September 1968. Over the years, he also spent time playing music and restoring antiques.

He is survived by his wife, Cathleen Pulver; his son, Sean Pulver, and daughter-in-law, Brenda; his daughter, Tracy Pulver, and her husband, Jeff Beatty; his brother, Mick Pulver; and his two grandchildren, Dean Pulver and Clay Beatty.

A special celebration of his life will take place at the Pulver home (1706 Belleair Forest Dr., #238, Belleair, FL) on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All friends, neighbors, former colleagues, and music lovers who knew Joel are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, Joel's family encourages contributions of support to be made directly to the family to help them through this most difficult time.
