As a younger fraternity brother with Joel at Rose, I remember how I always looked up to and admired him for his commitment to others, warm personality, and dependability...a real role model.

So sad to see him graduate into the Chapter Eternal. When I think of Joel, the reaction is always a pleasant smile. The world has lost a truly good man.

I envy those who through the years shared the friendship and support of Joel. You were blessed to travel through life at his side. May he find joy in the life to come.

A life very well lived by a fine gentleman. Joel will be greatly missed.

No one could ever ask for a better roommate, a great golf buddy, a best man or a more special friend. Joel will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Connie and all of his family.

Joel was a special person and a good friend and fraternity brother. He will be missed. Praying for comfort and peace for the family. When he and Connie had their first child while he was at Rose, I remember requiring the pledge class to "knit" booties for the baby. lol

Joel was a great man. I enjoyed our early years at church and Beeson Park GC and then later in life at the Portland Golf Club. He touched a lot of lives and will be dearly missed.
