He is survived by his son, Nathaniel Swanson of Colorado; grandchildren, Talan Swanson and Aubree Swanson; brother, Dee Swanson (Liz) of Chatsworth; aunts and uncles, Emmett and Bobbi Hogan, and Faye Swanson of Dawsonville; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Swanson (Bobby Johnson), Nikki Kintz, and Cody Kintz.
A Graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Joel Swanson will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Holly Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with Bro. Allen Ledford officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to independently owned and operated Dalton Funeral Home, 620 S. Glenwood Ave. Dalton, GA 30721; 706- 529-5371
