Joel Randall Williams, 63, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on January 1, 2025, from a Hemorrhagic Stroke.

Joel was born in Gordon County, Georgia, on April 23, 1961, the son of the late Erwin Williams and Mamie Jo Rickett Williams. He grew up in the New Town community and has been a lifelong resident of Calhoun. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Renia Williams.

Joel loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his friends and family. Before retirement, he was employed by Calhoun Mill Works.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Sherman Williams; two daughters, LaShea Williams and Amanda Jones; grandchildren, Laila Reynolds, Cayman Reynolds, Simon (JoJo) Marmolejo, Jaydon (Saphia Denise) Marmolejo, Mariana Ugarte, Emerson Worley Gray, Parker Worley, and Reese Worley; sister and brother in law, Rhonda Williams Hicks and her husband Lamar.

A memorial service for Joel will be held on Tuesday, January 7th, at 6:00 PM at Newtown Baptist Church, with Pastor Brandon Bishop officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 7th, from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at New Town Baptist Church,
