JoEllen Veal Obituary
The Glennville, GA native was a graduate of Glennville High School. She was retired from the Department of Family and Children's Services after working for many years. She was a longtime member of Rincon Baptist Temple, where she was once honored as "Mother of the Year" and an associate member of Shining Light Baptist Church in Blairsville. JoEllen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother being known by the titles of Mama, Mama Jo, Grandma Jo, and Great-Grandma Jo. She enjoyed RVing and traveling with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Jo "Missy" Veal; grandmother, "Mama Nette" Kicklighter; mother, Mildred Dasher; brother, Eugene "Bucky" Driggers; and brother-in-law, Buddy Bradley.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Veal; children, Jamey Durrence (Amber), Jared Veal (Erica), Jason Veal, and Heidi Burke (Noel); nine grandchildren, Christopher Christensen, Amber Veal, Ryan Veal (Alexis), Riley Veal, MiKaley Durrence, Banks Durrence, Kaleb Bonner, Kason Bonner, and Kyler Bonner; a great-grandson, Waylon Veal; a brother, Alan Dasher (Renee); a sister, Jan Bradley; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 1 -2 pm, Friday November 21, 2025 at Rincon Baptist Temple.
Funeral: 2 pm Friday, November 21, 2025 at Rincon Baptist Temple.
Interment: Rincon Cemetery
Flowers are preferred, but remembrances may be sent in her memory to Rincon Baptist Temple, PO Box 253, Rincon, GA 31326.

My thoughts and prayers go out to this family and especially Allen Dasher who was my neighbor and special friend at Shellman Bluff for many years . I knew he had a sister in Rincon but did not know any of his extended family, but me and my husband Benny (now deceased) thought of Allen , Renee and the girls as our family.
