Joey Ray Cribbs, age 32, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024, at his residence. Joey was born in Savannah, Georgia to Mr. Joseph Wilson Cribbs and Mrs. Diana DeLoach Cribbs.
Joey was known as a well mannered and hardworking man and was employed at Reeves Construction and was very excited as he had recently been promoted to foreman. Joey was a Christian, growing up at Old Fellowship Baptist Church in Stilson and began attending Lighthouse Baptist Church in his adult years. Joey was a very warm and caring person who gave the best hugs and was always complimented for his firm handshake. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted son, fiancé, friend, and most importantly, daddy.
Joey is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward Earl Cribbs and Eva Sheffield Cribbs; maternal grandparents, Delmus Ray DeLoach and Lois Earle DeLoach; father, Joseph Wilson Cribbs; aunts, Debbie Brannen and Deborah Cribbs; and uncle, Ronnie Cribbs, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Diana DeLoach Cribbs, fiancé, Sky Briggs; 1 year old son, Joseph David Hollis Cribbs; stepdaughter, Lucy Cartrette; aunts, Judith Elmore, Lolly Olliff, Jan Wells, Donna Carter, and Shirley Cribbs; uncles, David Cribbs, and Danny Ray DeLoach; and several cousins and great cousins.
Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie Cribbs, Paul Cribbs, Kevin Cribbs, Cody Carter, Christopher Wells, and Daniel DeLoach.
Honorary pallbearers are Landon Lewis, Logan Smith, Dustin Carter, Trey Cribbs and David Cribbs.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Deal Funeral Directors.
The Funeral Service will be held at Old Fellowship Baptist Church on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 11:00AM with Dr. Tony Lambert and Pastor Wes Sherrod officiating. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Old Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Joey loved nature and being outdoors so in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the
