Joey Steiner

IRON MOUNTAIN - Joey Steiner, 52, of Iron Mountain, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at his home. He was born on June 20, 1956, in Iron Mountain, son of Joseph and Margaret (Porro) Steiner. He graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1974. Joey worked as a laborer in the union for 25 years in Green Bay, Wis. before returning home. Most recently, he was employed with the Pasty Oven in Iron Mountain. He enjoyed playing bocce ball and cooking. More than anything he enjoyed working at the Ranger Field ball park with the kids; it was his passion. Joey is survived by his mother and father, Margaret and Joe Steiner of Iron Mountain; his son, Joey John Steiner of Green Bay; a sister, Kim (Michael) Murphy of Sterling Heights, Mich.; two nephews, Christopher and Brett Murphy. At Joey's request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his memory.
