Johanna Jane Falcetti, 78, passed away at 3:55am on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 20, 1947, in Belleville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Peter and Bernadine (Allen) Falcetti. Survivors include three daughters and two sons in law: Dawn and Bill DuMont of Wildwood, Missouri, Diane and Charles Liggett of Federal Way, Washington, Leanna Leckrone of South Roxana, four sons and two daughters in law: Daniel and Jolene Hull, Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa, Ronald May of Edwardsville, Michael and Amy May of Alton, Patrick May of Macadocious, Texas.
Jane’s family also includes nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, four step children: Leroy (JR), Leslie, Denise, Timothy, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Jane was employed for thirty years at Kmart. She finished her career as an entrepreneur of Wayne and Jane’s Place in Granite City. When she retired, she enjoyed scrapbooking, was a member of the South Roxana American Legion Women's Auxiliary but the absolute real pride and joy of her life was her grandkids who regularly stayed the night. She had a way of turning their boredom into fun with crafts, activities and even front yard carnivals. Jane's legacy is the dedication to her grandchildren and her love of family ancestry, which inspired her stories and many family traditions that her family and friends will be privileged to pass to the next generations. She grew up in Granite City and enjoyed Elvis Presley and country music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Benjamin, Ralph “Bud”, John, and Mike.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 10am until time of funeral services at 12pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Majors Sean and Cassy Grey will officiate. Burial will follow at Glen Carbon City Cemetery.
