Johanna was a very special Austrian lady! I was the 1st Counselor in the Relief Society at The Gardens until last April. She would always make sure her hair was combed before she left her room. I remember one Family Home Evening in particular. Miniature "therapy ponies" came to visit the residents in the Garden Room. Johanna's whole face lit up when she saw them, and she would pet them and talk to them as long as she could. She was delightful! I'm so glad I was able to know her.

I can remember many happy times when we visited Aunt Hanni and Uncle Kurt. First at their home in Ogden proper where my brother and I used her wagon to ride down the hill around the corner from her house. Then when she and Uncle Kurt moved to a new home near Ogden Canyon I enjoyed her back yard immensely. The fruit, berries and rabbit were wonderful! I was always well fed as Aunt Hanni would constantly refill my plate with Austrian dishes and delights. Aunt Hanni was a loving, caring person whom I will miss. My dearest sympathy to Gerlinde, Trudy and all of the family.
