We will miss John's wave when we drive by their house. Living on Eighth Street we were afforded the opportunity to see him and Norma often and will certainly miss his wave but hope to continue to see Norma. His 90th birthday parade was a highlight for my husband and I as we celebrated him. He will certainly be missed. Hugs for Norma.

John Abshear was such a great friend. He also was a great conversationalist.
He knew so many people, and had such an outstanding memory that he was almost like a living history book. For years, John, and Jeff Slater, and I met once a week at Cracker Barrel for a lot of talk, spiritual inspiration, and good laughs. Ken Swan

Cathy and I were walking our son's dog Taylor past John and Norma's home. They were sitting out under their tree and Taylor wanted to go meet them. Taylor became good friends of them .... so did we. they were always so caring for those around them. We are so thankful for their love.
