John Aloi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Perinchief Chapels - Mount Holly on May 13, 2025.
John Aloi, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished member of the community, passed away in 2025 at the age of 88. Born in Norwich, New York, in 1936, John lived a life full of service, laughter, and unwavering commitment to others.
After proudly serving in the U.S. Army, John earned an engineering degree from Alfred State University. His professional life spanned decades in the insurance and real estate industries, and he also served with distinction as a Burlington County Tax Judge for many years.
If you had the pleasure of knowing John, you undoubtedly heard one of his signature jokes-he had a boundless sense of humor and was always eager to share a laugh, right up until his final days. But more than just a jokester, John was a man of action and compassion. A friend to all, he was deeply involved in the community as a lifelong athlete and youth sports coach, President of the Bordentown Board of Education, a devoted Rotarian, and a dedicated board member for the Burlington County Special Services Foundation.
John had a deep and abiding respect for veterans, and he played a vital role in the Save Fort Dix/McGuire AFB efforts, advocating passionately on their behalf. He remained active throughout his life, whether golfing as a longtime member of Burlington Country Club, hitting the slopes as an avid skier, or playing basketball and tennis.
A world traveler who visited six continents, John embraced life with energy and curiosity. Above all, he cherished time spent with his beloved family, including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives he enriched with love, laughter, and wisdom.
John Aloi leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and joy. He will be missed dearly by all who had the honor of knowing him. John was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Marcia Aloi, with whom he shared a life of love, partnership, and devotion. He is survived by his four children: Mike (Mary) Aloi, Michelle (Steve) Walsh, Eric (Deborah) Aloi, and Beth (Randy) Mansfield. John was a proud and loving grandfather to Matthew, Kelly, Ryan, Rachel, Nicholas, Courtney, Sarah, and Holly, and a doting great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several cherished nieces and nephews. His love, humor, and wisdom will live on through each of them.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit with John's family on Saturday May 17, 2025 from 9:30am to 11:30am at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street, Mount Holly, NJ 08060. Funeral services for John will be held following the visitation at 11:30am at Perinchief Chapels.

My thoughts and prayers to the Aloi family. I think I can speak for all the JCC Early Birds in saying it was an honor to know you and play basketball alongside you. RIP.

My condolences to the Aloi family. John was an amazing person and a true friend. He would go out of his way to make time for everyone he knew whether it was business or personal issues. I was truly blessed to be able to call him my friend. He will be missed but his memories will last forever. Rob Marrazzo

We have many fond memories of John. We always enjoyed the fantastic summer pool parties that John & Marcia threw with the favorite Italian sausage in huge pots cooking on the grills. John was a major influence with my career as Burlington County Tax Administrator and involvement with BCMAC.
John was a larger than Life personality who dedicated his time supporting our Military at Joint Base McGuire, Dix & Lakehurst (JBMDL). We will miss his kindness and friendship.
Fondly,
Marge & Mike Nuzzo

I am very sorry for your loss. Uncle John was a very good and caring man. John and my Dad (Edwin Olsen Sr ) were best friends . I enjoyed talking with him about many things and the stories.he told about him and my Dad growing up. Enjoyed the conversations we had over the years.
He will be truly missed. Fly high with the angels and say hi to my mom and dad up there.
