John Anderson Obituary
John was born in Johnson City, Tennessee on February 16, 1942, the only child of Jack Filmore Anderson and Lorene Clarice Anderson. At the age of two, John's parents moved to Baltimore County where he spent his childhood. He graduated from Dundalk High School and the University of Maryland where he played lacrosse. He was a scholar as well as an athlete and had a gift for writing. That talent led him to a successful career in marketing. He worked for Maryland Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Zurich insurance companies. He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon, and they had 62 years of happily ever after. John took an early retirement and enjoyed 35 years living on the water in small towns enjoying the company of his beloved family and friends and all that rural life on the Chesapeake had to offer. In addition, he spent many happy hours supporting the outreach, maintenance, and social programs as well as missions of Christ Episcopal Church in Easton, Maryland. It was at Christ Church that John gained another family, his church family. It was with members of his church family that he traveled to Israel and Italy. John loved to travel and was interested in photography. He was particularly good at capturing the spirit of the elderly and children and the beauty of flowers in the countries that he visited. He would tell you that he had a good life. Everyone who knew him would tell you that he was a good man. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon; son, Christopher and wife Jennifer; daughter, Laura and husband Tim; Granddaughter, Emileigh Patterson and husband Tommy; Grandson, Bradley Zulick; Granddaughter, Chloe Zulick-Eyring and husband Brian; Granddaughters, Tessa Paige Anderson and Ella Grace Anderson.
A memorial service will be held at St. Margaret's Church, 1601 Pleasant Plains Road, Annapolis, Maryland on Thursday, July 10, at 11:00 AM. Remembrances and lunch will be held in the church hall immediately following the service.

Dear Sharon, I am so saddened by John´s passing. I remember John when we all attended Dundalk High School and graduated in 1960. He was a wonderful person and athlete. You and your family have great memories of a beautiful husband and father that will sustain you at this time. May he rest in peace.
