John David Anderson Jr. Obituary

10/24/1951-02/20/2026

John David Anderson Jr. ("Andy") passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was raised in Milton and later made his home in Carver, Massachusetts.

John was a devoted husband, brother-in-law, uncle, and great-uncle. His nieces and nephews brought him immense joy, just as he brought joy to them.

He shared 40 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Patricia (Boni) Anderson. There was no greater love than the one they shared. Throughout their four decades together, they built a beautiful life in Carver, traveling to visit family and spending cherished time in Maine enjoying the ocean.

John was a dedicated Inventory Supervisor for Martignetti Companies, formerly known as United Liquors. He retired after 34 years of loyal service.

He found happiness in life's simple pleasures - putting together Legos, caring for his yard, watching movies, and cheering on all Boston sports teams. For over 50 years, John and his lifelong friends shared a treasured tradition of camping at Baxter State Park, creating memories that lasted a lifetime.

John had a smile that could light up a room. He was known for his humor, his storytelling, and his unforgettable jokes, which will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

His lifelong love of cats was well known. His beloved cats, Bug and Peaches, brought him great comfort and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise Anderson, and his nephew, Steven Molinaro.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (Boni) Anderson; his cherished cats, Bug and Peaches; his sister-in-law, Donna Molinaro, and her husband, Peter; his brother-in-law, John Boni, and his wife, Diane; his nephew, Michael Molinaro, and his wife, Lauren; his nephew, Aaron Boni, and his wife, Kaylin, and their children, Lucca and Avielle; and his niece, Marisa Molinaro, and her spouse, Rian.

He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all whose lives he touched.

Services for John will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home located at 116 Main St. Carver, Ma on Monday March 9th from 9-11am with a service at 11 followed by a burial at the Milton Cemetery in Milton, Ma,

Memorials are suggested to the Friends of the Plymouth Pound in Kingston, Massachusetts.

Although I haven´t seen Andy in decades his presence looms large. His amazing smile says it all. "He found happiness in life´s simple pleasures" - that´s beautiful. That´s Andy! Goodbye old friend.
