Mr. John Alfred Anderson III

Obituary PJohn Alfred Anderson, III passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011, age 62. Loving husband of Karen Pertuit Anderson. Devoted father of Johnny A. Anderson, IV and Katie Emily Anderson. Son of the late Marjorie J. Anderson and John A. Anderson, Jr. Grandson of the late Emily and Edward Johnston, Mathilda and John A. Anderson. Brother of Barbara A. Matherne and the late Robert E. Anderson. Uncle of Edward and Lisa Tujague, Michaelene Sedgebeer, Adrienne Pertuit and the late Michelle Tujague. John was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School class of 1966, a U.N.O. graduate, served in the U.S. Air Force, a founding member of the Tulane Greenbackers, an original Saints season ticket holder since 1967, State Farm Insurance Agent, and coached at Jefferson Davis Playground, Brother Martin High School, Johnny Bright Playground and St. Clement of Rome School. He played basketball for both St. Aloysius High School and Loyola University. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM.
