John Foster Ansley, son of Anne Cooney Ansley and Eugene B. Ansley was born in Birmingham, Alabama on August 9, 1941. He passed away in Monroe, Georgia, September 18, 2025, age 84. John grew up in Atlanta, attended Druid Hills High School and graduated from Emory University where he was a member of the Emory Glee Club and was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He had many friends in the Walton County Athens area. He is survived by his brother Eugene B. Ansley Jr. and his wife, Lillian, of Atlanta, nephews, Eugene B. Ansley, III and his wife Jill, and their children Henry Foster Ansley and Miriam Estelle Ansley of Montclair, New Jersey, W. Sutton Ansley and his wife Karen, and their children Archer Marie Ansley and Emerson Elizabeth Ansley of Washington D.C. and Cousins Katherine Thomas Meyer Of Ellijay, Georgia and Sarah Bullington of Marietta, Georgia. Arrangements have been made with Hill Haven Memorial Gardens, Monroe, Georgia. Ansley, John Foster "John"
