John Richard Antoniewicz

John R. Antoniewicz, PE

John R. Antoniewicz, age 86, passed away on December 2, 2025. A loving
husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, John’s life was
defined by devotion to his family, hard work, and a generous spirit.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years,
Patricia Antoniewicz, his parents Anton and Helen Antoniewicz, and by
his brother Raymond. He is survived by his children Denise Barnes
(Jim), Jeff Antoniewicz, and Gail Braatz; grandchildren Jackie Barnes,
Chris (Holly) Barnes and Spencer Braatz; and great-grandchildren
Hudson Barnes and Beau Barnes. Also survived by his brother Dan
Antoniewicz as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

John was born on a farm in Antigo, Wisconsin. The family later moved
down to Milwaukee where John attended Pulaski High School. He was
proud of his cars, from the '57 Chevy to his '78 Silver Anniversary
Corvette. In retirement he and Pat made seasonal journeys to Ft.
Myers, Florida where they enjoyed the country club life and couldn't
get enough sun, socializing, and especially golf.

John was a dedicated father who could fix almost anything and was
there for his children from training wheels to behind the wheel,
always ready with help, offer advice, or simply a beer and good
company. He cherished time with his grandchildren, watching them grow
up and celebrating their milestones with pride and joy.

Professionally, he developed a long career as an Industrial Engineer,
working at Allen Bradley for 26 years while attending Milwaukee School
of Engineering (MSOE), and teaching at the same college while raising
his family. He retired later from Abbott Laboratories in Waukegan,
Illinois following years of travel back and forth to Texas. He also
earned his Professional Engineer (PA) license.

John lived a good life, full of love, laughter, and purpose. He will
be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation for John will be Friday, December 5th from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the Mausoleum
at Resurrection Cemetery, 9400 W. Donges Bay Road, Mequon, Wisconsin.
Prayer service to follow. Flowers can be sent to Resurrection
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Alzheimer's
Association or the American Heart Association.
