My sincere condolences on the Johns passing. Jack, as I knew him, gave me my first job in Cleveland when I got out of the Navy in 1971, while he was managing Fruehauf on Chester Ave. He was a good man, and to this day I remember him well. May he now enjoy the blessings Christ won for him.

Our condolences to Joan, Jim and the rest of the family. I remember when Jack hired me in 1971. I was only 3 months out of the Navy working for Cleveland Trust when I interviewed on a Saturday for the office clerk job. Aced the tests and he hired me on the spot. Was gracious enough to give me a couple days off for my wedding in August. Great man! Taught me so much about the business and helped me grow to become a credit manager, office manager, used trailer manager and finally office manager for one of Fruehauf's largest branches. Helped me transfer to the Boston branch and took me back when it didn't work out there. I will never forget him. May he rest in peace.

Joan and family,
Our most sincere prayers for you in your loss of our truly fine friend. I will miss our times together and discussions of our world concerns. He truly missed Fruehauf and his many co-worker friends. Another angel has joined the ranks! He is finally at rest. Our lives were enlightened by our friendship.

Most heartfelt sympathy to the Averweg family. An angel on your shoulder sometimes leaves a hole in your heart. Prayers and understanding from those around you will help heal the emptiness. May Mr. Averweg rest in Gods loving arms and his memory be eternal!

We wish to express our deepest regrets for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with Joan and the family at this time. I am deeply saddened, as Jack was not only a great friend, but also was my mentor for many years. Over the 26 years we worked together he was always there when I needed help, had a question or needed guidance. There are not enough words or space to even attempt to express my heartfelt thanks to have known, worked, and at times disagree with Jack. He will be missed by all. I consider this time as a celebration of Jacks life. He is at peace, pain free and smiling at us all. We will meet again my friend, Rest In Peace. Bill and Jill Simmons
