JOHN AYLER Obituary

JOHN AYLER Mr. John William "Bill" "Wild Bill" Ayler, 92, of Vevay, Ind., entered this life on December 30, 1932 in Carrollton, Ky. Wild Bill passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Ind. Bill was inducted into the United States Army on April 29, 1953, in Indianapolis, Ind. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Germany), and the Good Conduct Medal. Bill was honorably discharged with the rank of Private First Class on April 13, 1955, at Fort Sheridan, Ill. Visitation was held from 12 - 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment and full military rites were conducted by the Honor Guard of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 and the Vevay VFW Post #5396 in Vevay Cemetery, Vevay.

I'm sorry for your loss. He lived a long life. I'm sure his memories will forever last with you all. I know he and Billy made a great impact in my Son's life and some of the best memories my Son speaks are about being with them guys. Thank you for sharing part of your life with my son ( wild Bill) he will never forget you. Tammy and Billy I'm sorry for your loss and the rest of the family. Sending hugs to you all
