John Henry Balog, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025.

John's family was the heart of his world. He is survived by his loving children: Erin Della Valle (Evan), Joshua Balog, Douglas Balog (Kimberly Shaw), Anthony Balog (Secret), and Aymee Ghegan (Brian). John took tremendous joy in his role as a grandfather to Vincent, Elliott, Lucas, Oliver, Victor and Elijah, whose activities and accomplishments filled him with pride.

He is predeceased by his beloved parents, Edward Sr. and Catherine Balog. He leaves behind his cherished siblings: Jacqueline Balog, Kathy Montgomery (Richard Sr.), and Edward Balog Jr. (Debra). John will also be missed by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

John's professional career as a systems analyst for the State of New Jersey was marked by his meticulous attention to detail and his ability to solve complex problems with ease.

Outside of work, John was a passionate Philadelphia sports fan. He could often be found cheering on the Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers with the same enthusiasm and loyalty he brought to every aspect of his life. His love for music was equally profound-attending concerts, playing the harmonica, and sharing his musical tastes with all who knew him. John's hobbies also included fishing, where he found tranquility by the water, spending days on the beach in LBI, and watching movies, delighting in the magic of storytelling.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Monday, October 6, from 6–8 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joan of Arc, 100 Willow Bend Rd., Marlton, NJ, on Tuesday, October 7, at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
