John Barszowski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 4, 2018.
John "Scott" Barszowski of North Wales passed away with his family by his side on September 4, 2018 at age 54. Born October 26, 1963 in Norristown, Scott was the son of Alice (Orner) and Joseph Barszowski. In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his daughter, Stefanie Barszowski, brother, Joseph Barszowski (Diane), and sisters, Peggy Weimar and Nancy Butcher (George) as well as many nieces and nephews. Scott's life revolved around his family; their happiness was so important to him. His most notable quality was his kind, and loving heart; which will leave a lasting impression on all who knew him. Through one final act of generosity, Scott's organs were donated through Gift of Life. His gifts saved the lives of two, and will improve the quality of life for many others. All who knew him well will miss him. Relatives and friends are invited to Scott's Life Celebration on Monday, September 10th at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike from 9:30-11 am. Scott's Funeral Service will begin at 11 am, followed by interment at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, [email protected]. I was at my "baby" brother's side as he took his last breath on this earth, and his first breath in heaven. He had been very ill, and watching him alive and suffering was much more painful than watching him die in peace. Family was the most important thing in this world to Scott, but his daughter Stefanie was the light of his life! Scott had the kindest heart, was a prankster, and could always make us laugh. He was very much loved by his family and friends, and knew that he was loved by Jesus. He did not fear death and always told us he was going to heaven someday. We know he made it there and is happy and at peace. Although, it is a sad time for us, he wants EVERYONE to know he is AOK and wants us to be happy for him, to make the most of every minute we have left here on Earth, and to be patient for the day that we will all be together again. I love you, Scotty Boy!

I've always enjoyed Scott's great personality, his humor, and his kindness. I will miss our FB and phone chats, and our connecting on mutual issues, discussing problems we both faced, his compassion for others. Lots of good memories over the years. I will miss him and his friendship. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family...Alice, Joe, Diane, Stephanie, Peggy...everyone.

Scotty was my cousin and my lifelong friend.

We shared childhood through adulthood memories in our many talks.

More times than not we would end our conversations with "Gotcha last". A punching game we played as kids at the end of a family gathering. It turned into, I called you this time, now it's your turn.

It was our way of checking on each other...I'll miss that.

RIP Scotty
