My condolences to the Beasley family. I was blessed to have volunteered at the John Beasley Theatre and had a nice conversation with John learning that he was, at one time, stationed at Ft. Monmouth NJ, where I briefly worked. He was such a nice and caring man, making everyone feel as if they were important. Again, my deepest condolences to the Beasley family and especially his dear wife, Judy.

Dear Judy and the Beasley Family,

In memory of John.

John touched people through theatre, television, cinema, and his personal contact. In doing so, he encouraged people to pursuit their dreams.

I met John when we were students at Howard Kennedy school. Our team won championships in sports under the coaching of Mr. Robert Rose. Afterwards, John attended "Tech" and I attended "Central." May years later, John and I became reacquainted through our mutual friendship with Marlin Briscoe. A couple of years ago, the three of us shared pleasantries, memories, and played golf to support Jennie Edmundson Hospital. I also met John's gracious wife, Judy, during this time. Most recently, John confirmed his acting interest in a film that I wrote.

Though John is gone, the good he´s done carries on.

May you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of a community caring family and friends.

In sympathy.

Yours Truly

Bob Nelson

Everything I know about acting, I learned it from John Beasley. Judy and Family I am so sorry for your loss. John you trusted me with "Rose" unknowingly. It was my debut stage performance and "Fences" was the opening show in the John Beasley Theatre. I'm a better actor because of you. Thank you for all you have taught me about this craft. RIH my friend.

I first became aware of John Beasley's talent in the late 50's when he was the "voice" in John Weldon Johnson's The Creation. John was a performer in the Junior Theater at Tech High School. I was an elementary student at Long Elementary School. I was captivated by his reverberating voi e as he said "And God step out into space and said, I'm lonely, I'll make me a world". As a 6th grader I met his brother, Steven and we became friends. Through Steven I have known and respected the Beasley family since then. John was one of a kind. My condolences to the family for our loss.

What sweet man! So sorry for your loss!
I didn´t know him socially, but ran into him at the store one time, and I said, " I really like your work". He said "Thank you, that´s nice to hear!"
I said "When people talk about you, I always brag that you´re from Omaha, like I know you personally."
John said "What is your name?"
When I said "Terri" he shook my hand and said "Hello Terri, I´m John! Now you CAN say we know each other!"
Such a nice and gracious man!

John was one of the most likable men I ever knew. He was a friend from our first hello. In our last conversation he shared that he was going to New York City to be in a musical. I told him that when he gets to Broadway to not forget us little people. That caused him to laugh. He was so genuine and kind. I will miss him and cherish my memories of John.
