John Beech Obituary

John Edmond Beech

April 29, 1945 - May 10, 2025

John Edmond Beech, 80, of Utica, died on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Sauer Health Care in Winona. He was born on April 29, 1945, at home in Enterprise to George and Rose (Rinn) Beech.

John attended Enterprise School and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1963. After graduation he farmed in the Lewiston area until he was drafted into the US Army. He served in Vietnam in 1970-1971. Soon after returning from Vietnam, he began working for Hubbard Foods in Altura. John held various roles including Farm Manager on turkey farms in Trempealeau, WI and near Fremont, MN, and on the maintenance crew based in Utica and Faribault. He retired in 2010 from Jennie-O Turkey Store Company after the company had changed hands over his career.

John married Rosemary Pulchinski on April 23, 1966. They were married for 36 years until her passing in 2002. They were superb companions and a testament to a loving marriage. He missed her greatly over the last 23 years.

John enjoyed keeping up with the news of his kids and grandkids, mowing his yard, and traveling to northern Minnesota to fish and visit family. A favorite question was "who are their parents?" so he could understand who his kids were talking about (although we now use the same question). John enjoyed watching the Vikings, Twins, and Gopher sports. His school woodshop creations will live on in his family's homes. John was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and American Legion Post 90-Lewiston.

Survivors include his children, Jason (Kristen) Beech, Holly (Matt) Kreidermacher, Emily (Ken) Werber, and Sarah Beech (Nick Lemcke); grandchildren Dustin Kreidermacher (Hailey Schumacher), Ethan Beech (fiancée Madison Northey), Tyler Kreidermacher, Gavin Beech, Imogen Beech, Tova Beech, Hannah Kreidermacher. Also surviving are his sisters Noreen (Jerry) Hennessy, Karen Fagerman, sister-in-law Margaret Beech, and many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother David.

A Funeral Mass for John will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston with the Reverend Chinnappa Pothireddy officiating. Burial will follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14. They may also call one hour before services on Thursday at the church.
