John came to apply for a Sales Engineers job at Exide. After my interviewing John I thought he was the perfect fit and I was right. John was awarded many international trips hosted by the company and received several awards including Sales Engineer of the Year for the District as well as nationwide. I´ll always remember John as very outgoing, fun, a great joke teller, and always willing to help someone. Blessings and miss you my dear friend.

My God I can't believe it's already been a year. 2022 was brutal taking most of my remaining close friends like John way too early. We first met at Sylvania high School & I always enjoyed watching our football team score victories with players like John & his brother Steve & Kevin Page or chico, & so many more. Those were some of the best of years. I also represented the school playing basketball & Sylvania did well in sports in those days. Brings back many good memories from a period of time where we had some of the best entertainers not only on screen but in concert. John & I & others always enjoyed each other's company hanging out together be it at J&G's (spelling?) pizzeria in downtown Sylvania, Dixie electric company out towards Perrysburg etc. Interestingly enough John moved to Cincinnati & went to the university there while I attended Miami University in Oxford Ohio. Marty your post brought back a lot of wonderful memories I had with John. John picked me up at my Phi Delta Theta fraternity house Alpha founding chapter at Miami University and we drove back to Cincinnati where we bought a case of beer and shot pool, boy those were the days. Some summers in Sylvania I worked multiple jobs to save up for the upcoming year in college, one of which I closed at night the SOHIO service station on Monroe Street. I remember John having a barracuda car green I believe, that he loved to work on & I helped him & remember evenings when he would bring his car over to the station and I would put it up on a lift for him to work on. John was prepared & always carried a toolbox full of tools in the trunk. So many good memories that I am sure Jef, John, Faye & all his family have also, with our advancements in medicine I do not understand why we are losing everyone so young as my grandmother lived to 102 & many relatives over 90. Losing the ones we care about hurts beyond belief and I just pray the Lord is able to somehow comfort the family & curb the pain. Take care & God bless John & his family.
All my best, Blake Baker

I was returning a tool I had borrowed and it was a hot Saturday afternoon.
I walked around the back yard where John was working like crazy.
John greated me, covered in sweat, beer in hand, and he said "Marty if it weren't for all this beer I've been drinking I'd be dehydrated!

Sorry this is late. My mom just told me... I too am sad.
I do have fond memories of a certain trip to a certain place in Hobart Oklahoma, hot spot of the day, with a certain girlfriend, I won´t mention any names, Faye, who gave me certain pretzels after she licked off the salt!
Peace and healing to you all!
May you feel God´s presence as He mourns with you during these hard times.

So very saddened to hear John has joined other loved ones in heaven. John was a very successful Salesman and wonderful woodworker. John had many talents, he loved football, and mentored many young youths. I enjoyed many years working with John. John was a really special gentleman. John loved in great depth his family and very very proud of his children. He will be missed. Prayers and blessings. LOL Karyl

We both have very fond memories of John from childhood and beyond. He was a beacon of jubilation whenever we were in his presence. He was always very kind and inclusive when we had the opportunity to be around him.
He will be missed. Our condolences to you all.
