Ever since I can remember, uncle John and Aunt Valeri have always been there. I remember being really little and going to visit them before they moved to Mexico, he was always a BIG KID playing right along with us :) He was also always a great father figure to us, even before his own kids were born.
I will always remember the fun Uncle John used to put together for us kids; Not only did he tell the best stories and give great advice but he was also very active with us. From making solar powered ovens to cook smores, allowing us to help him in the kitchen with his amazing cooking, from walking around town finding Pennies with CiCi´s pizza meal deals on them to enjoy for lunch! Not to mention him and aunt Valeri always sent the most unique, thoughtful, heartfelt gifts to us when we were kids.
When my grandparents and sister passed, John was a rock for our family and continuously showed us that God is mighty and full of grace. His light really shined through uncle John.
Uncle John was a good King to his family and a wonderful uncle and mentor to all children and adults who knew him!!!!!! I am so lucky to have been family to this man. I love you Aunt Valeri, Asher and Moriah and little Ramsay. I think of you often and hold you all close in my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laura and I and our sons will always remember the joy my serving as pastor of the West Greeley Baptist Church and having John and Val and family as faithful members. John and Val were consistently, faithful and gracious and kind, and our memories of them are rich and full. When my sister died in 2009 he drove down to the Boulder area to help us clear out her apartment! That was John, faithful kind, and helpful. I look forward to seeing him again in the land of no more goodbyes
