John Bensing Obituary
John was a kind, and intelligent young man with a big heart. He enjoyed spending time fixing cars and working in the garage. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Jonh was preceded in death by his stepdad and friend Billy Petty.
He is survived by his children, Mackenzie Hamlett, Johnathan Hamlett, Serenity and Zane; his mom, Cathy Petty (Mark Thomas); his sister, Jamie Bensing (Chris); his brother, Jeremy Bensing (Sierra) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be at 3 pm on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home at 285 South Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects from 12 noon until the time of service at 3pm on Sunday.

John, you deserved so much more than what this life offered you. You were such a a good guy and I was blessed to have spent these past few years with you. I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to save you this time, it will be something I carry for the rest of my life. I miss you so much. My heart is broken.
