John D. Berdar

John D. Berdar, 78, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, PA following an accident.
John was born on Sept. 3, 1946, in Bayonne, NJ, the son of John and Helen (Lewko) Berdar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin D. Berdar, sister, Lois Whoolery, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles (Buck) and Anna Johnson and many other family members, along with his loving furbabies, Gypsy and Tucker.
John was loved by all. He was the most caring and hardworking man. A career truck driver who would not give it up. Presently employed by Brinestarr. He lived his life for his family. There wasn't a thing this man could not do. He helped anyone he could. It was amazing the things he could do. He will be missed by all!
John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly (Johnson) Berdar, daughter, Deanna Duty and husband John of Hurricane, WV, grandsons, Jonathan Berdar (his best buddy) and wife Ashleigh (his go to girl), and Joey Berdar, special grandson, Caleb Duty, great grandsons, Brendan and Bryen Berdar (who were his life, he would light up when these two little guys would walk in), also his fur baby, Dozier, sisters, Donna VanSickle and husband Phillip, Danita Bizik, Monica Jordan and husband Barry and Sue Misinay and husband Larry, brother in laws, James Johnson and wife Eileen and Steve Bizik of Masontown, PA, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements are private per John's request and under the direction of the DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory, 65 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, PA, Stacey A. Dolfi, FD.
Contributions in John's memory can be made to St. Jude's Hospital for Children or Fayette Friends of Animals.
A Celebration of Life for John will be held at a later date.
