Jack Sullivan

Jack was well respected and well liked by everyone at QPD. He was a caring, compassionate & calming police officer. He was even keeled, never getting too excited or mad at anyone. He treated everyone, victim or perpetrator with respect and dignity. Just his smile and the way about him could defuse a situation in seconds. He was a credit to the department and the city of Quincy was lucky to have him serve them.

To my dear friend Jack of many many years,
I wished you could have hung in there a little bit longer, so that we could have raised our glasses of beer just one more time and have a few more laughs too.
I remember when we first crossed paths at Gridley Bryant Elementary School, West Quincy in 1966.
All the kids were gathered in the school yard for the raising of the flag and Jack was there with his snare drum.
He played the drum as they raised the flag and I was very jealous as I always wanted a drum, but my parents weren´t going to let me have one and I can´t blame them.
We spent a lot of time together in a tight nit group of close friends (who I still hold near and dear to my heart) through Sterling Jr, Quincy High school and after his time in the Army. We did start to drift apart in the early 2000´s but still managed to keep in touch from time to time.
I will remember Jack and Jeanne forever for all the good times and laughs we had.
I would like to extend my condolences to all of Jack´s family for their loss.
Until we meet again my friend,
Paul

I can´t remember Jeannie without Jack. I just always thought how
Perfect they were together. I know they are at peace and together once again as it should be. I always thought of Jack as a tough cookie with a soft interior. I loved going in the pool as a kid with Jack and his awesome Mom. They always made me feel so welcome. My heart breaks for Danny and Michaellove you both, Julie

You left an indelible mark on the ones you loved. Your hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and service have left us all in great hands, albeit with a giant hole where our safety and security once was. We love you! Enjoy the peace and comfort that comes with your new resting place! Say hi to Mom, Lee, and John for us!

Rest easy Jack knowing that everyone you left behind is going to be ok, as you prepared us all for anything we may face. The morals, values, and ethics you instilled in me will always grow. I love you dad and will miss you always. Tell mom I said hi and I just know you're together again.
