John E. Bittle, Sr. "Jack" of Blackwood, NJ passed away peacefully at home on November 21, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of over 50 years to Janice M. Bittle (nee Rohrer. Devoted father to Danna M. Bittle, Kelly Anne Bittle, John Bittle, Jr. (Christina), and Lisa McCarty (Chris). Loving grandfather to Brennen, John III, Celeste, Brianna, Carley, Nathan, Bethany, Genevieve, Cole, and Blake. Amazing great-grandpop to Hunter and Zachery. Dear brother of Elda Brickner-Barger, Joanne Thalman (Jack), Mike Bittle and the late Pat Bittle (Jane) and Charles Bittle (Christine). Son of the late Harry and Josephine Bittle. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Jack was a member of the Local Operators Union 825. He was a heavy equipment operator for Clifford Ellis Company, Bill Bowman Associates and retired from Pioneer Pipe. Jack was a hardworking man, often putting in seven-day workweeks. He would always lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors when it was needed. Jack loved going to his house in the Poconos where he would spend time hunting and fishing. He also loved his hot rods and took pride appearing at many car shows.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 10am to 12noon in The Chapel at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757, Delsea Drive, Deptford, NJ 08096.
Funeral Service 12noon in The Chapel of the funeral home.
Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Township.
