John Wilson Blanks, 79, passed away on November 19, 2025. Born on January 12, 1946. After high school, he joined the United States Navy, beginning a path of responsibility and dedication that carried through the rest of his life. He spent many years working as a carpenter before later serving as a police officer in White Bluff, where he proudly served his community for many years.
John enjoyed the quiet moments—fishing, watching westerns, and reading whenever he had the chance. And he never turned down a trip to the casino, usually getting to the car before anyone else. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at Nosegay Cemetery at a later date.
