John Budiselic Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 3, 2015.
David was born October 22, 1960 in Baxter Springs, KS to Linda (Clanton) Budiselic and John Budiselic. He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Budiselic, and his brother Terry Budiselic. David grew up in Baxter Springs, KS and spent a lot of his time in Picher, OK with his grandparents, Earl and Irene Clanton, who also preceded him in death. He made a career in Mortgage Banking and spent much of his adult life in Houston and then Dallas, TX. He leaves behind his much beloved cats, Kramer and Maggie, aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

David was always quick witted. He loved entertaining his family and friends, starting at a very early age, and continued to do so until the very end. He was one of the funniest people you could ever meet. He loved old movies and the actors and actresses who starred in them. He also loved the classic country and western singers like Tammy Wynette and Patsy Cline. He often recited old movie lines and knew all the words to Tammy and Patsy's songs. He was also famous for making up his own words to familiar tunes and was quite good at it!

David was extremely bright and hard working. He loved a challenge and had an impressive work ethic. He spent many years as a mortgage banker and worked for several banks and mortgage companies and always excelled in his field. He also recently attended University of Texas at Dallas to continue his education where he impressed many of his professors and excelled in all subjects.

He was a good friend to many and he will be greatly missed. Just imagine the party going on in heaven though!

In lieu of flowers, David would like donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.

Oh how many laughs we had while working together at Malkne Mortgage, you would tell me stories about your cats and "momma" and you would sing Tammy Wynettes D I V O R C E to me just to drive me crazy and when that song pops in my head I always think of you! Rest in peace David!!!

David and I had a very special friendship that lasted more than 27 years. I am so deeply saddened by his passing. I miss our daily phone calls, our long talks out on his patio, and our gut-wrenching laughter. I have so many fond memories of our time together and I am so thankful for them. I will cherish you forever, David. I will always carry a special place in my heart for you.

Tnx for all the good memories from our high school days! So many zany moments but my fondest one was you teaching me to drive a stick shift with your Ford Pinto. I am very sad to hear of your passing. I know that you are on to even greater things now.

David, we had good times when we were kids in the your big farmhouse, at our grandparents' home in Picher, and with our crazy relatives. I'll always remember how funny you were - even as a kid. I wish we had been able to spend more time together as adults. Love you!

David Budiselic wasn't just a sassy man, he was a man with a kind heart and an opinionated mind that benefited others even when they didn't want to hear it. He intended to make others better even if they couldn't take it. He made people better is the bottom line. He was a loved uncle and a loved brother to my father. I love you David I hope to see you someday

David and I were friends 35 years ... had been in touch in the past year after a long time. He did not reveal his illness. One of the most quick witted funny friends I've ever known.

Rest in peace David. One day we can visit Potters Pond again together .....

David was one of the funniest and smartest people I have ever known. I worked with him for a few years almost 20 years ago and remained friends with him. I will miss our calls and conversations so much. I have lost a very special person in my life that is irreplaceable. Rest in peace David. I love you. Faith Miller
