Mr. John Gordon Busby

John Gordon Busby, 54, of Mardela Springs died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at his home. Born in Cheverly, MD, he was the son of Dorothy Meyer Harris of Salisbury and the late William L. Busby. John was an avid fisherman and hunter, who loved the outdoors. He was a Redskins fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 11 years, Debora Busby; a step-son, Jamie Wootten of Sharptown; a granddaughter, Christine Wootten; a sister, Joyce Busby Ray, a brother, William Michael Busby and his wife, Denise; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Geraldine and Carl Anderton; brother-in-law, Gregory Taylor and his wife, Roxanne; a niece, Tamra Rados; nephew, Mike Busby; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ginger Busby Weiss. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Glenn Lyburn will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the Fireman’s Cemetery in Sharptown.
