John Bush Obituary
John "J.J." Joseph Bush, age 58, of Trinity passed away January 22, 2025 at his home. He was born August 12, 1966 in Houston,Texas the son of Johnny Roy Bush and Madeliene Marie La Borde. J.J. was known for his unwavering pride in Texas, always a dedicated fan of the Texans Football Team, the Houston Astros baseball team, and the University of Texas Longhorns, embodying the spirit of his beloved "Lone Star" state. As a young man, J. J. was a proud member of the Eagle Scouts, where he embraced the values of leadership and community spirit. With dedication and a heart for service to others, J.J. devoted 21 years to his country with honor in the United States Navy and retired Aviation BoatswainMate First Class (ABH1) Air Warfare/ Surface Warfare Specialist. He achieved Shellback and Blue Nose awards on numerous operations around the world. His global travel granted him the privilege to witness diverse cultures and landscapes while being stationed on various ships, including the USS America, USS Theodore Roosevelt,USS John Kennedy and USS Saipan. In total, he spent 16 years at sea, each voyage a testament to his valor and commitment. During his service, J.J. was active in seven known official wars and conflicts starting with the Cold War and ending with Operation Iraqi/ Enduring Freedom. Following his military career, J.J. traded the high seas for the open road, working as a truck driverfor SSG, a marketing company. Yet, he never left adventure behind. An avid golfer, he found joy in the rolling greens and the camaraderie of the sport. Accompanying him always was his cherished German Shepherd, Bubba, with whom he shared many joyful hours, on travel ventures, and throwing Bubba his stick. Above all, family was J.J.'s greatest treasure. He held his children close to his heart, and his grandson truly lit up his world, filling his days with boundless love and pride.J.J. Bush lived a life full of dedication, love and Texan pride. Though he has set sail on his final journey, his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Deanna Johnson Bush; children, Landon Clyde Bush and Payton Marie Bush Quigley and husband Wyatt; father, Johnny Bush; mother, Marie Bush; grandchild, Theo LaneBush; sisters, L'Loni Bush-Lombardi and husband Steve and Tammy Bush; brother, Ronald Bush and wife Darlene niece, Nikki Bush; nephew, Gage Bush-Duncan; canine companion, Bubba; and numerous other beloved family and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandparents, Nettie and WJ La Borde; paternal grandparents, Lela Bush and Johnnie Bush Jr.; and uncle, Ronnie La Borde.
