John T. Buzzelli Jr., 68, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024. The son of the late John and Catherine (Danielo) Buzzelli, he was born on November 28, 1955.
Prior to his retirement, John worked for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. John was a member of St. Thomas More Church. He volunteered at various athletic associations and at Our Lady of Grace School and was active in Make-A-Wish. John was an avid sports fan and coached baseball for 15 years.
John is survived by a son Brad Buzzelli and daughter Ashley (Shawn) Wildman, was a beloved grandfather to Grace, Stark and Bennett, and survived by a brother James Buzzelli.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters Carmella Conway and Barbara DeMarco.
Family and friends welcome Tuesday July 23, 2024 from 2-8 PM at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 (412-563-2800). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday July 24, 2024 at 10 AM at Resurrection Parish, St. Thomas More Church, with Fr. James Chepponis, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
