John Franklin Byerly

John Franklin Byerly, 80, of Mount Solon, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at his home.

He was born on February 16, 1945, and was a son of the late John McCue Byerly and Mary Catherine (Myers) Byerly.

John had worked at Ethan Allen in Bridgewater and was a farmer. He was a member of Moscow Covenant Brethren Church and attended Spring Hill Presbyterian Church. He was a bear hunter, master gardener and was always available to help friends and neighbors.

John was united in marriage on September 10, 1983 on to Sandra Kaye (Chandler) Byerly.

in addition to his wife he is survived by a step-daughter, Tamara Smith; step-granddaughter Eleana Smith; two sisters, Martha Ware, and Mary Moffett; brother-in-law, Garry Chandler and wife Brenda.

A service celebrating John's life will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church with Rev. Todd Lilley officiating. Refreshments will be served following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spring Hill Presbyterian Church, or Mt. Solon Fire & Rescue.

Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.
