John Calvanico Obituary
Born and raised in Jersey City, John was a longtime resident there and was employed as an X-Ray technician for 40 years at St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic before retiring. John loved acting and in his spare time, could be found doing just that. He was a beloved brother, uncle and friend who will be missed.
John was predeceased by his parents, John and Antoinette Calvanico along with his brother-in-law, Ralph Romano. Surviving are his sister, Francine Romano; nephew, Anthony Romano with his wife Jennifer; niece, Vanessa Blanco with her husband Louis; great nephews, James Romano and Mason Blanco along with aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm at CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 625 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading, NJ 07064. Private cremation will follow.

I knew John as an actor and a friend. We'd reconnected after many years and would get together on occasion as a group, for dinners, talk and looking forward. John's dreams and abilities made him a wonderful friend and person to be around; his soul a kind and loving one. His energy and his heart carry on forever.
