In memory of
Larry Gallagher MD
February 15, 2025
I have known John for 82 years. We first met in Kindergarten as 5 years old lads. We attended St. Ann's Grade school in Wadena MN. Our music teacher, Sister Ubalda singled out John and me as her two Irish supranos as were younger and then becoming tenors as we approached eighth grade. We had much fun through our K-12 schooling in Wadena. He was a good friend. I was in Medical School at UofM when he played on championship football team with Sandy Stevens and another close friend of mine, Julian Hook. Those were great years. Larry Gallagher MD

John, you were one of the nicest individuals whom I ever met. Knowing you for longer than 38 years was a privilege. You will NEVER be forgotten. Your family is in my heart and thoughts.

Sue, Andy, Matt, Megan, & Molly, I am so sorry for your loss.
I appreciate the times John made to have early morning breakfasts, his passion for the chaplain training courses, chaplaincy, and him smiling & laughing. Particularly his story about being at a CoG in the south where the worship got a bit carried away and two men running around the sanctuary and colliding head on! John could hardly get thru the story for laughing. And, Sue, I love the way he gave you credit for getting him out the door on after midnight callouts.
May God comfort you all,
Barry & Kristi Kissell

Sue and family, we will always love you and John, and are so sorry for your loss! We loved when John´s humor came thru when he preached. We also loved his passion for the Truth and for the church body. My (Margaret) most astounding memory of John was when standing next to him at a Catholic Church (I don´t remember why we were there) and I heard him singing. He always stood during worship at LifeChurch but never sang. I just assumed he was as bad a singer as I was but did not subscribe to my theory of making a joyful noise unto the Lord. He had a beautiful voice! I told him so, too.
I also loved working with him on the Chaplain program at church.
Your family is in our thought and prayers, knowing God will comfort you through this valley of grief and take care of you all.
All our love, Rich & Margaret Pogin

The first time I walked into Life Church and John and Sue greeted me so warmly, it felt like family. John always had some kind of wise crack that made me laugh! He will be missed by so many!
