John Carver“s vision transformed the way I approach governance, helping me understand the true power of effective boards. His teachings have been a guiding force throughout my career, inspiring me to lead with clarity and purpose. The community John and Miriam fostered has connected me with passionate individuals dedicated to using their wisdom for meaningful change. I am deeply grateful for the chance to learn from John and for the ongoing legacy that Miriam and so many others continue to carry forward.

My mother and stepfather, Ron and Sharon Nickle are great friends of John. They have shared, and shared with me, many great holidays and visits with John and Miriam.
I was lucky to have met John on a number of occasions. He was remarkable in that he could talk to anyone about anything. He was inquisitive and so very smart!
I know my parents will miss him dearly. To Miriam, he was a very good man.

I met John in 1999 after searching for a place to learn about Policy Governance. That meeting changed my life. I owe the new trajectory in my life to John's brilliance.
My deepest condolences to Miriam and John's family at this time of grieving. He was a great thinker and a great man. I hope to continue his legacy with integrity to his governance framework.
