John C "Zeke" Cecco

John C. "Zeke" Cecco, Jr, 76, of Centre Hall, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Born on May 8, 1947 in Sunbury, he was the son of the late John C. and Dorothy G. (Rhoades) Cecco, Sr.
Zeke held various positions in his working career that ranged from working the dime pitch game at carnivals to driving a delivery truck for Dutch Maid Cakes out of Johnstown. For more than 17 years prior to his health forcing him into disability, he worked as a press operator for the Centre Daily Times.
Zeke was a social member of the Smith-Pletcher American Legion Post #779 in Centre Hall, a member of the Moose in Sunbury, and a lifetime member of the Goodwill Hose Company in Sunbury. He was a fan of Penn State football and he had to be home on Monday evenings by 8pm to watch his WWE Wrestling. If you timed it just right, you could find him at Snappy's in Centre Hall, enjoying his morning coffee, EVERY morning. His son, Chris, will always cherish the time they spent together hunting and fishing and being in the great outdoors while his daughter, Courtney will forever cherish the memories of watching her dad enjoy spending time with the grandchildren.
Along with his canine companion, Lady, and his ex-wife and care giver, Sandra J. Cecco of Centre Hall, Zeke is survived by their children, Christopher J. Cecco of Spring Mills and Courtney J. Ulmer and her husband, Matthew, of Paxtonville and their grandchildren, Rylie Ulmer and Grayson Cecco. He is also survived by two sons from previous relationships, John Cecco and his wife, Wendy, of Selinsgrove and Mark Cecco and his wife, Anna of Kratzerville and their children.
Along with his parents, Zeke was preceded in death by a son, John Cecco and all three of his older siblings, Lawrence Cecco, Elmer Cecco, and Marie Cecco.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 5pm – 7pm at the Barbara Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Centre Hall. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 7pm with Pastor Mike Covalt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Goodwill Hose Company, 500 Reagan St, Sunbury, PA 17801.
