John Charles Chambers III, born on May 11, 1947, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 16, 2024 He lived a full life, marked by a profound love for family, nature, and adventure.

John's education took him across the United States he grew up as a Navy brat, attending various schools. He graduated from Sun Valley High School in Pennsylvania. He served twenty years in the United States Army. His time in the military included the following duty stations, Thailand, South Korea, and three tours in Vietnam, with additional assignments at Fort Campbell, Fort Dix, Baumholder, Germany, and retiring at Fort Riley, Kansas.

John received many awards and medals in his career in the Army. He received a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), Army Achievement Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and NCO Professional Development Ribbon.

After his military career, John worked at Armour Eckrich until his retirement. His working years were characterized by dedication, much like his service in the Army.

John cherished the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, passions that reflected his love for nature. Alongside his wife Peg, he found joy in traveling and exploring the National Parks. Together, they took many day trips with their family, creating lasting memories along the way.

He is preceded in death by his Father, John Charles Chambers, Jr., Mother, Kathryn Chambers, Sister, Sandy Chambers, Sister, Andrea Chambers, Brother, Lynn Chambers. Surviving family includes, Wife of 51 years, Margaret Chambers, Son, Eric Chambers, Daughter, Charity (Dana) Simpkins, Grandchildren Kennedy Chambers and Ainsley Simpkins, Sister, Elayne Bohl, and Brother, Richard Chambers. 

John is remembered for his devotion to his family and the experiences they shared. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
