John E. Chambers, 64, of Atlanta, Michigan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at MyMichigan Medical Center of Alpena. John was born in Oregon, Ohio to Norman Gene and Betty Lou (Friedericksen) Chambers on November 17, 1961. He was the youngest of five children. While he grew up in Williston, Ohio the family vacationed in the Atlanta area often, and in his twenties, John moved up to become a permanent resident. The majority of his professional career was spent in the building trades where he was the owner of John Chambers Construction and J&K Builders. He also loved milling wood and was a proprietor of Chambers Custom Wood Products. In his free time, John loved all things outdoors, including fishing, hunting, and morel mushroom picking.
John is survived by his sons, John (Gina) Chambers Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; Jacob (Birdie) Chambers of Atlanta; daughter, Jenna (Seth) Teets of Watford City, North Dakota; several grandchildren, Jaden and Jordan Chambers of Jacksonville, Florida; Emma and Cassie Chambers of Atlanta; Holden and Wesley Teets of Watford City, North Dakota; brothers, Mike (Tammy) Chambers, Norman (Teresa) Chambers, and sister, Debra (Randy) Dunn all of Ohio. He is predeceased by his parents, Norman and Betty Chambers; and sister, Michele Hartman.
As was his wish, John is being cremated. There will be no public services at this time.
