I will miss your laugh, your over abundant opinion, your attitude, your quick whit and humor, your "professional" taste buds, and swapping goofy food stories all day. I will miss you throwing paperclips and staples at me, hiding my chair when I left the office, and drawing "super-poop, BUTPD" characters with you!
You were an amazing friend and always brightened my day. We will never get to have our food and wine cook off, but you will always be with me every time I critique every meal. I still have that bottle of stout you brought back for me after your vacation. I will savor every last bit of it, but I'd rather have you here with me to discuss how awful it really is!
Today, I am Aborigine, tomorrow, I'll be Eskimo, but forever, I will miss you and you will be in this Hawaiian's heart.

A sympathetic and extraordinary person with a charmed personality. That was the John I knew. Popular with people, cheerful, joyous and full of life. John was a selfless man who went through his life helping others. Our lives will be empty in the areas that John had brightened for us. Sorrow fills our hearts with this loss, a sorrow that is deep and personal. No words can truly define how great of a person John was to all of us. He will be greatly missed. Forever in our minds, always in our hearts is where we will keep John
