John Edgar Christ

John Edgar Christ age 89, passed away March 21, 2026, peacefully with his family at his bedside. He was born on September 9, 1936, to Edgar N. Christ and Iva Mae Hightower. He was born in Arcadia and was a lifelong resident. He was a carpenter, realtor, member of the Rotary Club and Moose Lodge. John proudly served in the National Guard for 13 years. He loved hunting, fishing and building swamp buggies.

John is preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Iva Christ, his brother Harold Christ, sister Doris Miner and grandson Cole Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Faye. His sons, Vick (Cindy) of Palmetto, Tony of Arcadia and Cory (Michelle) of Kingman, Arizona.

John also has 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in John's memory to Tidewell Hospice of Arcadia, Florida.

Services are Saturday April 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Ponger Kays Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, Florida 34266. Pastor J.C. Chancey will be officiating the service.
