John E. Clark, Sr. Obituary
John Edward Clark Sr. 87, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on June 13, 2024
He attended Destination Church in Jacksonville, Florida since he moved here in 2017 from Shawnee, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife Carla Clark, his Brother Paul Robert Clark of Salt Lake City, Utah. Three children, John E. Clark Jr. (Barbara) of Lenexa, Kansas; Carol Clark-DeBaun of Merriam, Kansas and Julie Clark-Anderson of Turner, Kansas. Two Step-Children Tiffany McKain and Timothy McKain both of Jacksonville, Florida. Four Grandchildren, Bridget (Zac) Lujano of Walton, Kansas; Andrew Clark of Overland Park, Kansas; John Joseph Strange of Colorado and Shawn Strange of Kansas City, Kansas. He had one Great-Grandson, Sylas Lujano. Several Nieces and Nephew's.
He had very close family by marriage who were his wife's two sisters. Wayne and Pat Palmiter of Jacksonville and Rev. Ron and Bettie Dykes of Carl Junction, Missouri.
John was proceeded in death by his parents, Paul Harry Clark and Frieda (Nair) Cummings of Baldwin Lake, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, a Sister, Phyllis Ann Ravenscroft of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; his Grandson Paul Clark of Pittsburg, Kansas and his Son-In-Law, William DeBaun of Merriam, Kansas.
John was in the United States Navy from 1954-1958 and served on the USS Kidd in the Korean War and was in Navy Reserve from 1958-1962.
John was a member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Local Union #124 of Kansas City, Missouri from 1967 to present where he worked as an Electrician until he retired in 1999.
He was President of the Sun & Surf Club in Merriam, Kansas from
1982 to 1986.

I am deeply saddened to hear about John's passing. I had the privilege of working for John as an IBEW apprentice in the late 1980s. His electrical skills were exceptional and he left a lasting impact on my life. I will be praying for you that you may find comfort during this difficult time.
