Baue Funeral Home - Cave SpringsJohn Robert Cline of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the age of 84. John was the beloved spouse of Patricia A. Beninato. He was a devoted father to Mickey (Mary) Jorden, JoAnn (Jim) Tinsley, Christie (Wally) Filla, Dave (Ann) Beninato, Chris (Jeff) Urbanek, Tim (Jonnie) Beninato, Mary Beninato, Elizabeth (Keith) Zachary, Bria Beninato, Mia Beninato, and Tao (Alex) Lang.
He was a cherished grandfather to Amy (Mark) Ostoff, Katie (Jared) Ragsdale, Jared (Angie) Jorden, Lindsay (Norm) Druck, Bradley Jorden, Benjamin (Andrea) Filla, Kim (Patrick) Bader, Juliann (Mark) Viviano, Andrea (Lennon) Ivey, Emily and Sarah Beninato, Michael and Nick Urbanek, Elijah, Noah, Anna and Abi Beninato, Hannah, Lauren, Amanda and Trey Wheeler, and Alex Zachary.
John was also blessed with many great-grandchildren: Jenna, Grace, Nick, Joanna, Teresa, Henry, Owen, Amelia, Mikaela, Rylee, Dakota, Barrett, Benjamin, Levi, Jack, Eleanor, Alexander, Olivia, and Franny; and great-great-grandchildren: Ashtyn, Kaison, and Lyndon.
He is survived by his siblings Carole (Vince) Candela, Kathy (Robert) Coffing, , and Maureen (Mark) Wood, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He also leaves behind his dear friends Richard Fay, Judy Bart, Mary Jane Nichols and many more.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Dorothy L. Cline and his brother, Richard (Elsie) Cline, and his first wife, Sally Cline.
A proud veteran, John served in the United States Army and was a dedicated member of the American Legion. He worked as a supervisor-draftsman in the aerospace industry at McDonnell Douglas, where he was known for his intelligence, loyalty, and strong work ethic.
John was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wentzville, Missouri. He had a passion for woodworking and genealogy, and he took great pride in his Irish heritage. He enjoyed life in the Twin Oaks community, where he formed many lasting friendships.
John will be remembered as a kind, intelligent, and devoted man who deeply loved his family, his country, and his community. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorials may be made in John's name to St Patrick Catholic Church Building Fund - Wentzville, Missouri.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
