John and I worked together at two different companies. John was perhaps the hardest working person I ever encountered. He did the work of well more than one person. Nearly all he did was focused, precise and with a goal in mind.
While he had little patience with things he saw as a distraction or wasteful, he was ever kind, humble, understanding and thoughtful. He adhered to his values and was a good teacher. He took both setbacks and wins with a reserved smile and gained wisdom, of which, in my opinion, he had a great amount.
To me, and others, he was unique, a wonderful colleague and friend. It was my privilege to know and to work with John.
