John William Colvin

John William Colvin, 84 of Culpeper, VA died October 27, 2004 at the Fauquier Hospital. He was born June 4, 1920 in Catlett, VA a son of the late William and Emma Lyons Colvin. John was retired from the former C & P Telephone Company after 43 years of service as as a CO Repairman. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and was a charter and life member of the Warrenton Volunteer Rescue Squad. He is survived by his wife Emily R. Colvin; children- Diane Wood, Oakton, MD, Rick Colvin, Morgantown, WV, Sandy Ramey of Warrenton and Al Kane of Augusta, GA; one sister- Lucile Breen, Warrenton; one half-sister- Marie Kyhl of Catlett; one half-brother- Henry Colvin of Warrenton; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 2:00 PM at the Orlean Cemetery, Orlean, VA by Rev. J. Richard Winter.
