I just found out about John´s passing today at my annual appointment at AAIR. A little piece of my heart is broken today. I had been a patient of John´s since 1997. Best physician ever! He was the sweetest, kindest, most knowledgeable person I have ever known. Even though it was a doctor/ patient relationship, he treated me as a colleague ( I am also an RN) and we collaborated on my care. He always listened to what I had to say and took it all into consideration. My condolences to your families on your loss and thank you for sharing him with us all. Growing up with doctors is not always an easy thing, but without his work, many of us would not be here today.

I enjoyed chatting with Dr. Condemi ar Keuka Lake, as well as joining him for lake walks up until this past year. I also had connections with him at the hospital, and he often came to my church at the lake when he and his wife Carol was alive, and they were staying at their lake home. Dr. Condemi was a brilliant practitioner, an athlete, and a wonderful, genuine man. He always downplayed his life accomplishments, and showed so much interest in others. He always greeted friends with his bright eyes and a hearty smile and laugh. I will miss our friendship and lake walks! Sincere condolences to his family.

I knew him as cousin Johnny. We were all so proud of his accomplishments and him ...My grandmother, Concetta Andolina Cacioppo was his great aunt and my grandfather, Salvatore Cacioppo was his great Uncle. John's mother, a Cacioppo, is connected on both sides of my maternal family...we all immensely and especially loved this kind, brilliant, delightful, loving, man. My mother, Rosalie MacDonald Cacioppo, Aunt Jeanette Fortuna Cacioppo, Aunt Josephine Cacioppo, Uncle Charlie Cacioppo, and lFrances Cacioppo all adored him, his wife Carol, and their beautiful boys. Distance and life separated us ,except for Christmas greetings, for the past 28 years (he came to Revere Mass. for Jeanette's son Robert's wedding then and stayed in Robert's house for the weekend)...but our love for cousin John and his family always was and always will be . Dance to Sinatra with the angels and yoyr bride, Cousin Johnny..until we meet again. All your beloved cousins and much family are there now to embrace you once more and forever.

I had the pleasure of working with and learning along side of Dr.Condemi at AAIR.
Our conversations at lunch were endless and so extraordinary and knowledge based. I will always cherish these fine moments in time and I appreciate all Dr. Condemi has done for his patients, family, community and staff. Rest In Peace my friend and thank you for the memories.

I, too, am a previous patient of Dr. Condemi. I think he was the only immunologist I ever had.
He was the consummate physician. I shall miss his great care and his calm demeanor.
