John Michael Conley

John Michael Conley, 83, of Stephenson, VA, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born on August 28, 1942, in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of Michael Truman Conley and Lora Dorothy Conley. John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he dedicated many years to a career in electronics, retiring from FEMA as an electronic technician after 42 years of government service. He was a member of the American Legion and the Winchester Conservation Club and enjoyed attending Winchester Church of God.
On October 21, 1972, John married the love of his life, Kathryn June O'Neal, in Sacramento, CA. Together they built a life grounded in faith, commitment, and family. Anyone who knew John knew that he was the most loving father and spouse a family could ask for. His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family, and his kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion were felt by all who were blessed to know him.
John is survived by his wife, Kathryn June; his two children, Tamara Diane Moore of Stephens City, VA, and Thomas John (T.J.) Conley and wife Summer of Winchester; and four grandchildren, Austin Thomas Conley, Trenton John Conley, Trevor Leon Conley, and Averianna Grace Moore. He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Ann Curry.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Phil Kell officiating. Burial will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park. Pall Bearers will be: Judson Fortney, Justin Peacock, Brian Martin, Shane Snyder, Mike Birchenough, and Casey Mumaw.
