John Gordon Corbett

John Gordon Corbett, 76, of North Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away on December 5, 2025. He was born June 15, 1949, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Gordon John Corbett and Henrietta Philomena Marsh. John worked as a steel worker and was known for his steady work ethic and practical skills. In his later years, he became affectionately known as "Happy" John by friends and neighbors, a nickname earned through his warm personality and love of conversation. He enjoyed woodworking, attending local car shows, visiting with neighbors, and spending time at North Saint Paul establishments where he felt most at home. John shared a close bond with his brother Jim and treasured memories of time spent together with family at Clearwater Lake. That lake remained a meaningful place to him throughout his life. He is survived by his three sons, Benjamin Corbett, Thomas Corbett, and Joseph Corbett, and by his younger brother, James Corbett. A private spreading of ashes will take place at Clearwater Lake during the summer months. A casual Celebration of Life will be held January 10, 2026, at the Polar Lounge in North Saint Paul, Minnesota. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
