Joan and family,
I remember Jack so fondly.
I loved the family gatherings that I attended with my now deceased husband Jay and in-laws, Betty and Jim. ❤
Mildred was my fabulous grandmother in-law. Wonderful family I had the pleasure to know.
Best wishes to all.
Love,
Phyl Seaton.

We wish to send our sincere sympathies to you. We remember Jack so fondly...his love of life, people, and his gift of joy to all who knew him will be remembered fondly by the Seaton's. I know if Betty and Jim were here, they would express the same sentiments as they loved Jack and admired his strength ..hopefully they are all reunited! With love, The Seaton's

Dear Joan and family,

Jack always had a friendly smile and a joke to tell us each week when he stopped to drop off his column. Everyone looked forward to him coming in. I can see his face now as I write this note to you. "Do you have any suggestions for me this week boss?" And then he laugh. Of course with his background I would never suggest a thing. Who knew Gloucester's history better than he?

Our readers enjoyed his column so much. Many would tell us that was the first thing they read when they received their paper

We along with his many fans will miss him so. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Sincerely, Bill and Connie

Dear Joan and Family.

Please know my sympathies are with you in this time of great loss. Jack certainly was a character and will leave quite a void, but know that you will be strong because in his absence you will rely on his strength remembering what he was like and what he would have done or said. Cliche I know, but true. My thoughts are with you all.

Dr. Corcoran's Family,

I had the good fortune to have Dr. Corcoran as a professor during my time as a student at Glassboro State College - He was truly a wonderful teacher and a delightful person. I have thought of his lighthearted manner of teaching many times during my career in education. My sympathies to you in your time of loss.

I will always remember Jack as a dedicated Historical Society Member, and Leader. I respected him for his wisdom and knowledge of Gloucester City History. I was

honored to have him attend my daughter's wedding.

In Memory of Jack

His Spirit lives on in the City

The drum he loved reverberates a

pulsating sound of history through the ages,

The drum is like the heart of his soul.

His stories of history forever remain in our hearts, and

the drum beats on and on.....

Echoing his name.

Upon reaching his final destination he caught the train.

It passes through the city calling his name, Jack Corcoran.

He had his ticket, and he is free.

Jack leaves us with a gift of Gloucester City History.

Dear Joan and Family,

Most sincere sympathy in the loss of your husband. I read his column weekly and enjoyed his mention of you his "Beloved Wife Joan". You were lucky to have so many years to share together. You are in my thoughts now and often, how could I forget your beautiful voice when we were classmates. You and your family are in my prayers. Be strong as he would want you to be.

My sincere condolences to the family of my neighbor Jack Corcoran. It was a pleasure to live next door to Jack for 25 years. I shall always remember our conversations about gardening and of course the history of Gloucester City.

He was a wonderful human being and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. God bless his friends and family. Dot Evans

As Bert's classmate at GSTC I knew Jack in the 40's. When he was a GSC colleague in the 60-70's I referred students with speech problems to him. They later became elementary teachers and administrators in south Jersey. I will never forget him... Beulah

Dear Joan and Family,

So sorry to hear of your loss. I know what your going through. I lost my husband this time last year and have been grateful for the 33 years together. You have had quite a few years more than I, so you will have a great deal of happy memories to recall. I enjoyed your husbands column in the Gloucester City News. Sorry I never got to know him. Remembering you Joan and your lovely voice. May God be with you and your family.
